Ballroom and Courtyard Restoration

Perched amidst the Provençal hills, Château Deffends has undergone a sensitive transformation that bridges its historic soul with a renewed sense of light and openness.

The project reimagines the château’s ballroom and its adjoining terrace as a harmonious dialogue between heritage and contemporary design. The original stone façade, restored with traditional lime plaster, is now complemented by a series of sculptural steel arches, framing the landscape while inviting natural light deep into the interior.

Inside, the ballroom becomes an airy, modern salon that retains its timeless elegance. Large arched doors open directly onto a sunlit esplanade shaded by century-old plane trees, creating a fluid connection between interior celebration and the serenity of the gardens.

This renovation embodies the spirit of Provence, refined, natural, and quietly majestic, restoring Château Deffends as both a place of gathering and contemplation.
